In a nutshell...
Domaine Fradon is located in the South West of France, in the Charente-Maritime département at the very heart of the cognac growing region, 30 km from Cognac and 5 km from the picturesque town of Jonzac.
Thanks to lots of sunshine, mild winters and the close proximity of the Atlantic Ocean, vines grow happily in the Cognac region.
Our vines spread accross 40 hectares, the soils are typical chalky soils dating back to the Cretaceous. We grow both white grape varieties - Ugni-Blanc 77%, Sauvignon 7%, Folle-Blanche 3%, Colombard (an old local varietal) 2% and red grape varieties - Merlot 6% and Cabernet-Sauvignon 5%
Domaine Fradon lies in the Petite Champagne cru or growing area. Our products are classified as 3 different appellations :
AOC Cognac Petite Champagne
AOC Pineau des Charentes
IGP Vin de Pays Charentais

We are open daily. Advance booking is highly appreciated. Go for a tour through our distillery and our warehouse. You will get an insight about the delicate artcraft of cognac before tasting our products. We also have a point of sale in Loix on the Ile de Ré.
